2013 Pie Baking Challenge winner Annalee Ash and Eatonville pastry chef Gregoria Contreras baked the first Vinegar Pie together — test run for the menu. Gregoria is a pro when it comes to baking the winning desserts. She’s been doing it since the start of the makesmewannaSHOUT! Baking Challenge in 2011. Based on how quickly the baking process went, this pie should be a “piece of cake” for the Eatonville kitchen. It made its debut on the menu this week. Next Thursday, May 16 from 5-7 Eatonville will provide free samples at Macy’s Metro Center. Annalee and executive chef Rafael Nunez will be at the department stores “American Icons” campaign launch to greet shoppers and give out a door prize.
